Understanding The Process

Step 1:
InspectionThe Storm Damage Restoration Process starts with a complimentary storm inspection to assess all the damage to your home. Some damage is obvious, however, many times it is not.

At Grizzly Construction our Construction Consultants and Project Managers will be able to assess the damage that is not visible to the untrained eye. Damage that is missed will cause premature aging of shingles and siding, but even worse it could lead to leaks, which could lead to larger problems. For your benefit our team will inspect issues that are caused by water, hail, and wind damage.

Step 2:
Filing ClaimShould the inspection reveal damage, we will advise you to file a claim with your insurance company, as well as provide you with a Damage Report and a Construction Agreement that allows us to communicate with your insurance company as well as apply for permits and order materials for your home.

Step 3:
AdjustmentNext your claim will be scheduled for an adjustment, which we will attend to walk the property with the insurance adjuster to ensure that your damage is documented correctly.

Your insurance claim will either be approved or denied by your insurance company.

Approved-

Once you are approved, we will begin to coordinate the details and schedule the project.

Partially Approved–
It is not uncommon for an insurance company to acknowledge damage, but only approve the damaged area.

We successfully navigate this part of the claim process on behalf of our clients with our internal supplementing team.

Denied–

In the event your claim has been denied then we will advise you on what we believe is the best course of action.

You have lots of legal rights as a homeowner, and we rarely run into a full claim denial if because we only advise on filing insurance claims that has easily identifiable storm damage with a documented storm date.

Step 4:
Material Selections & DepositOnce the claim has been approved with your insurance company and you have received the initial ACV (After Cash Value) check for down payment against your project, you will meet your Project Manager to select your colors and materials and sign a spec sheet.

Our Project Manager will help you pick out colors and materials, whether matching with your current roof or upgrading to a newer product, we will help you make the right choice for your home.
During this stage, Grizzly Construction will begin pulling the permit, ordering materials, and scheduling your roof replacement.

Step 5:
Build Day Our Project Manager will be on-site on build day to guarantee everything runs smoothly.

After the work is complete, your Project Manager will do a walk through to make sure everything is done to your satisfaction and standards.

We will need to get final pictures for your insurance company, and get a certificate of completion signed, so that you can get the final inspection from the city to close the permit, which triggers the final funds being released from your insurance company.
